Man Arrested Twice Within 8 Hours

Drug charges and prowlery lead to two separate arrests of 23-year-old Joseph Murphy in Manchester, New Hampshire, Sunday and Monday.

A 23-year-old man was arrested twice within eight hours in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Joseph Murphy was arrested on different charges Sunday evening and early Monday morning.

Police were patrolling the area of Victory park on Sunday and noticed a parked vehicle with a motor vehicle infraction around 5 p.m.

Officers followed the car to 455 Pine Street where they observed the individual reach down to the floor. They searched the car upon consent from the male individual. In a bag, police found a small amount of crack cocaine where Murphy had reached.

The find resulted in his first arrest of the evening, with charges of falsifying physical evidence and possession of a controlled drug.

A few hours after Murphy was released, police responded to a burglary at 11:30 p.m.

The owner of CCM & Supply reported a noise behind his house and saw someone flee from the area. A broken window was discovered by the owner of the house.

The man matching the witness' description was found in the area of 56 Laval Street after allegedly breaking into the business. He was then identified as Murphy.

Murphy appeared in the 9th circuit court of Manchester early Monday.
