State police said Niko Bianco, 22, of Amesbury, was arrested without incident in Manchester, New Hampshire

A Massachusetts man has been taken into custody as a fugitive from justice in connection with the murder of a man in Lawrence earlier in the week.

State police said Niko Bianco, 22, of Amesbury, was arrested without incident Thursday in the area of Lake and Wilson streets in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Authorities said Bianco is a suspect in the murder of a 48-year Lynn man whose body was found June 18 in the area of 75 Manchester St.

Bianco has been arraigned in Manchester Circuit Court as a fugitive from justice. He will be returned to Lawrence for arraignment on the murder charge. No date has been set at this time.

"I'm very pleased with the outcome of this situation, getting a dangerous person off the streets is always our priority," said Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano. "Working seamlessly with our federal and local partners is always beneficial to our communities."
