A Winsted man is under arrest after police say he was caught masturbating in his vehicle near a group of young Girl Scouts.
According to Avon police, they were called to the Walmart at 255 West Main St. around 10:15 after witnesses saw Alexander Gailunas masturbating in his vehicle.
Gailunas' vehicle was parked near the main entrance of the store, where five 10-year-old Girl Scouts were selling cookies.
Gailunas was arrested and charged with public indecency, five counts of risk of injury to a minor, operating a motor vehicle under suspension and possession of marijuana.
Gailunas was held on $10,000 bond and appeared in court on Feb. 29.
