Police have charged a Pawtucket man of threatening a woman and her son with a machete because he was impatient at how much time she took to park her car at a grocery store.
The Pawtucket Times reports that Adam D. Picard was charged with felony assault, disorderly conduct and driving on a suspended license.
Police say the 41-year-old Picard hit his horn and exited his truck to confront the woman.
He's accused of returning to his truck and retrieving a machete. Police say he held it over his head and waved it, threatening the woman and her 17-year-old son.
The woman called police and Picard was arrested in the store.
Picard does not have a listed phone number and it wasn't known Friday if he has a lawyer.
