Police arrested a man Friday and charged him in a burglary at the home of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Anthony Almeida, 31, of Randolph, Massachusetts, was charged in the burglary Gronkowski discovered after returning to his Foxboro home after the Patriots lost Super Bowl LII.
Almeida faces charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime, malicious destruction of property and two counts of receiving stolen property.
Police are searching for two other suspects. Shayne Denn, 26, of Tewksbury, is wanted on charges of breaking and entering in the night time, larceny of a firearm, larceny of more than $250, malicious destruction of property and trespassing. Twenty-eight-year-old Eric Tyrrell of Foxboro is also wanted for receiving stolen property worth more than $250.
"This is Rob Gronkowski calling, and while I was gone my whole house got robbed, while on the Super Bowl trip. And I just got back," Gronkowski told a 911 dispatcher at the time.
Authorities would not say at the time of the robbery what was stolen, but a Broadcastify.com recording of a call between responding officers and dispatch, a dispatcher said that "multiple safes and possible guns" were taken.
No further information was immediately available.
