Man Charged in Concrete Killing of 74-Year-Old Held Without Bail

Albert Henderson III pleaded not guilty to murdering Hector Ramos

A Southbridge, Massachusetts, man who authorities say murdered a 74-year-old using a large piece of concrete has been ordered jailed without bail.

Albert Henderson III pleaded not guilty to murdering Hector Ramos and was jailed following his Wednesday arraignment.

Prosecutors say Henderson's attorney agreed he be held without bail.

Ramos had been found dead in January beneath a stopped train in Worcester. Investigators say they found a bloody piece of concrete next to his body. One of Ramos' pants pocket was also turned inside out.

Court records show Ramos suffered extensive trauma to his head and face.

Police say blood evidence found on Henderson's clothes linked him to the slaying.

The Telegram & Gazette reports records indicate Henderson was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation just before Ramos' body was found.
