Man Convicted of Killing Ex-Girlfriend in 2013

Forty-three-year-old Chhoeut Chin was found guilty of second-degree murder Monday

A suburban Boston man has been convicted of murder in the beating death of his former girlfriend, whose body was found in an East Boston parking garage in August 2013.

Forty-three-year-old Chhoeut Chin was found guilty of second-degree murder Monday for the slaying of 32-year-old Sherry Bradley in Suffolk County Superior Court.

Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley says Bradley's slaying was the "culmination of a pattern of controlling, dominating behavior" by the Lynn man.

Prosecutors say Bradley was a victim of domestic violence and was killed when Chin fatally beat and choked her. The two were no longer dating at the time.

Bradley's body was discovered at the Border Street garage on Aug. 1, 2013. Police classified the case as a homicide in April 2014.

Chin will be sentenced Wednesday.
