Man Dies After Falling 80-100 Feet at Quarry

Police responded to the scene at Armetta Sand and Stone around 2 Saturday afternoon

A 28-year-old man is dead after falling between 80-100 feet at a Westerly, Rhode Island, quarry, according to police.

Police responded to the scene at Armetta Sand and Stone around 2 Saturday afternoon.

The victim was found at the base of the drop. He died a short time later.

Officials have identified the man as Jack Daniels of Woody Hill Road.

He and three others had been riding motorcycles in the area. Daniels was not on a bike at the time of his fall.
