Man Dies in Utility Vehicle Rollover Crash on Burke Mountain Ski Resort

Police say man was checking snow guns on the resort when crash occurred

Authorities in Vermont say a man was killed Sunday afternoon in a rollover crash at a ski resort in East Burke.

The crash happened at about 6 p.m. on Burke Mountain where state police say 45-year-old Denny Degreenia, of Concord, was driving an enclosed utility vehicle and checking snow guns on the resort.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle rolled over once causing Degreenia to be ejected.

Police said Degreenia and his passenger, Clifford Savage, 27, were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Degreenia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Savage was treated for minor injuries and released.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing pending autopsy results but police said at this time, Degreenia's death appears to be accidental.
