Police: Man Drowns in White Pond in Concord, Massachusetts

An man believed to be in his 70s drowned while swimming in White Pond in Concord, Massachusetts, on Monday afternoon.

Concord police and fire responded to the shore off the eastern portion of White Pond at 2:18 p.m. after receiving a 911 call saying that a person had been pulled from the water and CPR was being performed.

Upon arrival, police officers and firefighters continued life-saving efforts on the man. He was taken by ambulance to Emerson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man's name is not being released pending the notification of family.

The incident remains under investigation.
