    Man Facing Charges for Assaulting, Robbing Disabled Man in Boston

    A Boston man is facing charges after police say he assaulted and robbed a disabled man on Monday afternoon.

    Norjay Bryan, 19, is facing charges of unarmed robbery, assault and battery on a disabled person, and receiving stolen property.

    Police said officers on patrol were flagged down around 4:30 p.m. by a man who told them he had been approached by four men at the intersection of Temple Place and Washington Street.

    The victim, who told police he is mentally and physically disabled, said the men began punching him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The suspects then allegedly kicked the victim and stole his cellphone before fleeing the scene on foot.

    Police said the victim, who has not been identified, had a cast on his leg and was using a cane to help him walk.

    Officers were able to locate one of the men, Bryan, in the area. He allegedly ran from police before being apprehended with the stolen phone in his front pocket.

    Bryan was scheduled to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
