Police in Providence, Rhode Island, say a man was fatally shot while driving along a city street late Tuesday night, WJAR reported.
According to police, the victim was driving his car on Potters Avenue when another car pulled alongside him and shot him, causing the victim to lose control of the vehicle and crash into another car on Elmwood Avenue.
The victim, who has not been identified, was later pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital, police say. Two people involved in the Elmwood Avenue crash were transported to the hospital, though their injuries are not considered serious.
The incident is under investigation.
