Authorities have identified a man found dead on an eastern Massachusetts beach near an overturned kayak.
The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office says 51-year-old Douglas King was the person whose body was found Saturday morning on rocks on the beach near Channel Street.
It's not clear how the Weymouth man died. An autopsy is planned, but authorities say there were no signs of foul play. His death remains under investigation.
Hull police were called to the beach and found King unconscious, about 300 yards away from an overturned kayak and lifejacket. He was pronounced dead at the scene after resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
