Man Injured After Pickup Truck, Commuter Rail Train Crash

A man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries after his pickup truck hit a commuter rail train in Massachusetts.

Kingston fire officials confirm it happened just before 7:30 a.m. Monday at Lake and Grove streets.

The man was taken to Beth Israel Plymouth for his minor injuries.

The train was delayed for about 20 to 30 minutes, according to MBTA police. Service has since resumed.

Keolis, the private company that operates the MBTA's commuter rail trains, said it appears the truck went around the track gates when it hit two coaches, damaging it.

No one on the train was injured in the incident.
