Man Injured by Falling Awning Outside Boston Hotel

Fire officials can't confirm if incident was weather related

A man was injured by a falling awning Saturday evening outside a hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.

Fire officials said the 60-year-old man was on the sidewalk outside the Lenox Hotel on Exeter Street at about 8 p.m. when he was struck in the head with the awning.

The man, who was not identified, was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital where he was said to be conscious and alert.

Officials could not confirm if the incident was weather related.
