State police said at about 11:30 p.m., troopers began helping Salem police with a pursuit involving a U-Haul on Interstate 94 northbound. When troopers attemped to stop the truck, the driver, later identified as Alexander, allegedly refused to stop and began driving at speeds varying between 50 and 90 mph in an erratic and aggressive manner.

Authorities said Alexander continued on I-93 to I-293 in New Hampshire, then back to I-93 southbound.
