A man named William Shakespeare has been found guilty in the murder of another man at a Boston barbershop in front of the victim's 4-year-old son two years ago.

Shakespeare, a 30-year-old man from Dedham, Massachusetts, was convicted of first-degree murder and gun charges in the shooting death of 31-year-old Marcus Hall on June 14, 2016.

"This was a day long awaited by Mr. Hall's loved ones," Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said in a statement. "The grief and trauma to his family and community lingers even now, but I hope they can take some satisfaction knowing that justice was done."

Shakespeare was indicted in 2016, but wasn't arrested until late January of 2017, when he was tracked down in New York City. He pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors say Shakespeare was in the barbershop when Hall and his son arrived shortly before 12:20 p.m. The two men had an argument that spilled outside of the shop.

Shakespeare left and came back, according to the DA's office, shooting Hall and then fleeing to New York.

"The verdict speaks for itself," Conley said. "This was a cold-blooded and vicious shooting in broad daylight, and the jury clearly saw it as such."

Shakespeare is expected to be sentenced Monday morning at Suffolk Superior Court.
