A Providence, Rhode Island, man has pleaded guilty to shooting two people in an ambush attack that began with a social media transaction.
Police say Orlando Luciano shot Darren Main and his mother, Melody in 2013 after luring them to the Arbor Glen housing complex by agreeing to buy a designer belt they had advertised on Facebook.
Prosecutors say Luciano pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of assault and other charges in a deal that would have him serve 17 years in prison.
Police say both victims were shot in their arms, but managed to flee and drive to Rhode Island Hospital.
