A man accused of helping a woman ransack her father's grave in search of his "real will" has pleaded guilty and prosecutors in New Hampshire say he should have to help out at a cemetery as part of his sentence.
Police say 38-year-old Michael Day and three others conspired to raid the vault holding the remains of businessman Eddie Nash from a Colebrook cemetery in May. Nash's daughter 53-year-old daughter, Melanie, is among those charged.
The Caledonian Record reports Day pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges including criminal mischief. Nash and a third defendant have not yet entered pleas. A fourth pleaded guilty to criminal mischief and abuse of a corpse.
Police say cash, a bottle of vodka and cigarettes were taken from the grave, but no will.
