Man Pleads Guilty in Home Invasion, Fatal Shooting

A New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for his role in the shooting death of a Massachusetts man in 2013.

The Sun of Lowell reports that 38-year-old Donte Okowuga, of Merrimack, was sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by 20 years of probation in connection with the death in December 2013 of Cristiano Diaz-Arias. He also pleaded guilty to armed home invasion and armed assault with intent to rob.

Lowell police responding to a report of a shooting found the 44-year-old Diaz-Arias suffering gunshot wounds to the head and torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Okowuga was one of five men who entered the victim's apartment intending to rob him.
