Man Pleads Guilty to Robbing Pharmacy

James Senior pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court in Bangor to robbing a Rite Aid in March

A Clinton, Maine, man faces up to 20 years in prison after admitting to robbing a Newport pharmacy.

The Morning Sentinel reports that 39-year-old James Senior pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court in Bangor to robbing a Rite Aid in March.

In addition to prison time, he could also receive a $250,000 fine.

Senior will be sentenced after the U.S. Probation Office conducts a presentence investigation.

Prosecutors say Senior gave a note to a pharmacist on March 31 demanding oxycodone and threatening employees if his demand wasn't met. He left with three bottles of oxycodone and hydrocodone-ibuprofen pills.
