Man Pleads Not Guilty in Fatal Triple Stabbing in Providence, RI

David Allison entered the plea Tuesday in Providence

A Rhode Island man has pleaded not guilty to murder, burglary and assault charges in connection with a triple stabbing in Providence that killed a woman and wounded two others.

David Allison entered the plea Tuesday in Providence. A judge ordered that he be held without bail at Eleanor Slater Hospital in Cranston.

Prosecutors say the 34-year-old Providence man broke into the home of 26-year-old Maria Feliciano on Sept. 1 and stabbed her, her 24-year-old sister Elba Feliciano and 29-year-old Adrianna Figueroa. Elba Feliciano died, and Maria Feliciano and Figueroa were injured.

Police say one of the women escaped and ran to the home of an off-duty state sheriff, who stopped Allison and held him at gunpoint.

Allison is due back in court next month.
