Police say a man was shot while sitting on a front porch in the city's Hartford neighborhood.
WPRI-TV reports police responded to a report of a shooting on Hartford Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.
The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition.
Police have not released the man's identity.
There's no word on any arrests.
