Man Snow-Blowing Driveway Struck, Killed by Truck

The victim, Edgar Rhoades, 59, was at the end of his driveway when he was struck

A man who was snow-blowing his driveway in Topsfield, Maine, was struck and killed by a truck Tuesday evening, according to police.

The victim, Edgar Rhoades, 59, was at the end of his driveway when he was struck.

He was killed instantly.

Police say the truck was being driven by John Moholland, 46, of Princeton, who lost control of the truck in the snow. He was treated for shoulder pain at the scene.

His passenger was not injured. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Police say it was snowing at the time and weather conditions were factors.

The incident remains under investigation. No charges have been announced.
