Man Tries To Outsmart Police, Lands in Jail

Kenneth Edge of Middleton, Mass. arrested Thursday night

A Massachusetts man was seen panhandling Thursday night in a bus terminal at South Station.

Kenneth Edge, 53, of Middleton, originally provided Transit Police with a false name and identification card when they approached him.

Edge gave inconsistent statements and attempted to mislead the officers throughout the encounter.

When police discovered Edge's true identity, they discovered he had several warrants in existence for his arrest for stalking, threats to commit a crime, intimidation of a witness/court official, and more.

Edge, who police originally had said was from Abington, cut off his ankle GPS bracelet and fled in late September.
