Disabled Man Rescued From Fire

A disabled man bound to a wheelchair was rescued from a fire in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, according to police

A disabled man bound to a wheelchair was rescued from a fire in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, according to police.

Crews responded to the scene at 1177 Sagamore Ave. Wednesday morning at 5. The 911 caller told police there was a disabled man inside who could not get out.

Responding officers were able to get in and found the man on the bed. They got him into a wheelchair and out of the building.

Fire crews arrived immediately afterwards and were able to put out the fire.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
