Marathon Bombing Survivor, Jake Gyllenhaal to Throw Out First Pitch at Fenway Park on Patriot's Day

Jeff Bauman, a Boston Marathon bombing survivor, will throw out the first pitch before the Red Sox-Blue Jays game at Fenway Park on Marathon Monday.

Bauman, who wrote the bestselling book "Stronger" and was at the center of the iconic photo from the 2013 bombings, will be joined by Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays Bauman in the Lionsgate film based on the book and of the same name.

"Stronger" tells the story of Bauman's journey to recovery, "defining a man's inner courage, a community's pride, a family's bond and an unexpectedly tenacious love," a statement on the film read.

The movie, directed by David Gordon Green, is currently shooting in Boston.

Fans who would like to be part of the filming are asked to be in their seats by 10:30 a.m. Yawkey Way Gates A and D will open two hours before the game and all other gates will open an hour and a half prior to the start.

In part with the ceremony, the American Flag will be draped over the Green Monster during the anthem, which is to be performed by a U.S. Marine Corp Band from Quantico, VA.

The game begins at 11:05 on April 18.
