Video Shows Man Posting Anti-Semitic Flyers at Marblehead Synagogue; Police Ask for Help

The man who left anti-Semitic flyers at a synagogue in Marblehead this month was seen by surveillance cameras, which police in the Massachusetts town shared Monday in a bid to find him.

The footage shows a, from a distance, a person in a T-shirt and shorts putting posters on a sign board at Temple Emanu-El on Atlantic Avenue July 14, as well as walking and running through a parking lot.

The flyers denied the Holocaust, police have said, in which millions of Jews and others were systematically killed by the Nazis. The propaganda was placed in the front and back of the building; no damage was done and no one entered the synagogue itself.

Police asked that anyone who recognizes the person call the investigating detective at 781-631-1212.

"There is a feeling of violation because someone had to make the decision to come off of Atlantic Avenue, onto our property, and give us a message," Rabbi David Meyer said last week.

The Holocaust-denying flyers were posted on the door of Temple Emanu-El on Atlantic Avenue, according to police.
