Mass. Couple, Maine Man, Face Drug Charges

All three remain in jail and it's unclear if they have lawyers

Drug agents in Maine have arrested a Warren man and two Massachusetts residents after a three-month investigation into the distribution of prescription painkillers in Lincoln and Knox counties.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agency officers on Monday pulled over a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Allen Cooper of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in Newcastle. Police allege Cooper had 90 oxycodone pills. Agents allege he would regularly travel to Maine to deliver oxycodone to local dealers, collect their money, and return to Massachusetts.

At the same time Cooper was being arrested, agents searched a Wiscasset hotel room and arrested Cooper's girlfriend, 33-year-old Amanda Restel, after finding suboxone.

Thirty-six-year-old Robert Colpritt was arrested at his Warren home after police found oxycodone pills and other drugs.

All three remain in jail and it's unclear if they have lawyers.
