Mass. Homicide Suspect Arrested at N.H. Inn

Police in Salem, New Hampshire, say a homicide suspect wanted out of Lawrence, Massachusetts was arrested at an inn Thursday night.

Joshua Chevez, 23, of Methuen, Massachusetts, was arrested around 10 p.m. at the Red Roof Inn. He is charged with murder for the Aug. 17, 2014, death of Mark Trussell, according to The Eagle-Tribune.

Salem Police say they worked with the Massachusetts State Police Fugitive Team. They observed Chevez walking out of his room and arrested him without incident.

Police say they obtained a search warrant for his hotel room and located crack cocaine, oxycodone pills and a loaded .38 caliber revolver.

Chevez was processed as a fugitive from justice and will face additional charges of drug possession and possessing a dangerous weapon.

He was held overnight without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
