Man Caught on Video Stopping School Bus on Mass Pike Loses Driver's License

A man accused of stopping his car in the middle of the Mass. Pike and jumping on the hood of a school bus earlier this month has lost his driver's license.

MassDOT confirms Kevin Crowe, 42, of Dorchester had lost his license due to "an immediate threat/medical."

Crowe was caught on dashcam video jumping on the hood of a Weston Public School bus in Newton on May 1 after forcing it to stop in a westbound middle lane on Interstate 90, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to use care in stopping and a marked lanes violation.

The school bus driver, Joseph Rizoli, told NBC10 Boston that the incident left him unsettled.

"I think the guy has some serious mental problems to stop a school bus going 50 mph on the Mass Pike in the middle lane," he said. "I don't know what type of person does something like that ... The guy stopped in front of me and I had no idea what he was doing. I'm like, 'This guy's crazy.'"

It's unclear when Crowe will appear in Newton District Court on a summons or if he has an attorney.
