Massachusetts Authorities Join Police Nationwide to Warn Facebook Users of Video Containing Child Porn

Authorities in Massachusetts are joining police nationwide in urging Facebook users to not share a video containing child pornography.

Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey and state police detectives assigned to his office said the video depicting an adult man with a young child has been circulating across the country and around the world.

Several law agencies began investigating when the video began being shared on Facebook. Authorities have not said whether they have traced where the video has come from.

Authorities are warning users that sharing the video is a crime.

Users are urged to report the video as inappropriate directly to Facebook and to delete it. Such reports will be transmitted to appropriate law enforcement.
