A dentist in Worcester, Massachusetts, is facing indecent assault charges after a patient told police she was inappropriately touched.
Authorities said a 35-year-old woman called police on Monday morning to say that Dr. Nikilkumar Patel had assaulted her during an appointment earlier in the day. The victim told police when she realized what was happening, she got up from the dentist chair and immediately left.
The victim also told authorities that Patel had inappropriately touched her on several other occasions.
After meeting with Patel, 54, of Shrewsbury, police arrested and charged him with indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14.
Patel will be arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse on Tuesday.
