A 21-year-old man has been arrested by the Rhode Island State Police and charged with the alleged sex trafficking of a teenage girl from Massachusetts.
State Police say Adolfo Hernandez, of Boston's Mattapan neighborhood, was charged with sex trafficking of a minor and possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine.
Police said Monday that photos of a 17-year-old runaway from Massachusetts appeared in a sex ad online. They found her at a motel in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Police say Hernandez was involved in trafficking the teenager, and they seized crack cocaine from him.
It is unclear whether Hernandez is represented by a lawyer.
He was arraigned at State Police Headquarters and ordered held without bail.
The teenager was returned to personnel from the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families.
