A Massachusetts man was killed early Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 93 in Andover.
State police said troopers responded to the crash on I-93 northbound, just north of Interstate 495, at 12:34 a.m.
Troopers said upon arrival, they discovered a GMC Sierra, driven by 48-year-old Derek Frechette, had somehow left the highway, rolled over and came to rest in a wooded area.
Frechette had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters. He was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The exact cause of the crash remain under investigation by state police.
