Massachusetts Man Killed by Fallen Tree in Friday's Nor'easter

One person was killed in Plympton, Massachusetts on Friday when a tree fell on his car during the nor'easter, according to the Plympton District Attorney.

Ryan MacDonald, 37, of Plympton, was determined by first responders to be dead at the scene.

MacDonald is the first Massachusetts resident confirmed dead in the storm and the third in New England.

Plympton police say that they received a call from a resident reporting that a tree had fallen on top of a motor vehicle near a Cedar Street residence just after 5 p.m., on Friday.

Emergency crews found MacDonald, the sole occupant of the vehicle, trapped in his Dodge Ram pickup truck by a large pine tree that had fallen on the vehicle's roof.

The incident is under investigation by Plympton Police and Massachusetts State Police.
