Massachusetts State Police Trooper Suspended With Pay Amid Investigation Into Use of Force

A Massachusetts State Police trooper has been suspended with pay while the department investigates the use of force in an arrest that followed a high-speed chase from the Bay State into New Hampshire.

Authorities say Richard Simone led police on a pursuit that began in Holden and ended in Nashua. When he got out of his vehicle and on the ground, appearing to surrender, aerial footage shows multiple officers punching him.

Thursday, a Massachusetts trooper and a New Hampshire trooper were relieved of duty in connection to the incident.
