A Massachusetts student was arrested Sunday for making a threat to Lowell High School.
It's unclear what kind of threat was made but we do know it was on Facebook.
The interim head of school Marianne Busteed sent out a tweet Sunday alerting all students, staff and parents that a student had been arrested for making a threat to the high school but that it was safe for everyone to come to school Monday.
There will be extra police on hand Monday to reassure everyone, she said on Twitter.
"Thanks to the quick work of the LPD, LHS Admin and heads up from a staff member and student - See Something, Say Something!" the tweet said.
Lowell police are investigating and say they do not anticipate any issues at school Monday.
No other information was immediately available.
