The mayor of Everett, Massachusetts, is facing allegations of sexual harassment.
The Boston Globe wrote an investigative piece about Mayor Carlo DeMaria, suggesting that he had sexually harassed four different women while he has been in office.
Mayor DeMaria responded to an article in a statement, which read in part:
“I will continue to work tirelessly for the people of Everett as I have for the past twenty years and refuse to waste any more time and energy on useless distractions based upon patent untruths. I have faith that the people of Everett will see through this clear attempt to destroy the hard work and strong community we have created and continue to band together for the best Everett."
Mayor DeMaria has been married to his wife for 18 years.
So far, no charges or lawsuits have been filed.
