Meriden community members continue to come together to support the family of Perrie Mason.
The missing mother’s remains were found in Waterbury last month days after she disappeared.
No one has been officially charged in her death.
The organizers of Saturday night’s fundraiser at Maloney’s Pub on Main Street didn’t know Mason, but feel for her family, especially her two young boys.
“We just want to support her and get some justice for her and show them that we’re there for her,” said Patricia Gwara, of Meriden.
They hope money collected helps with legal fees, Mason’s funeral, and whatever else her family needs.
Mason’s father flew in from Asia on Friday. He said he’s appreciative. “I get a chance to meet a lot of wonderful people here. Very loving community who come here, as you all see, are gathered to help out,” said Devictor Mason.

The cause of Mason’s death has not been released.
Saturday evening Meriden police said they have no updates in the case. They last asked for any of Mason’s clients who had an eyelash appointment booked with her days before her disappearance to reach out to them.
Mason moved to Connecticut from Hawaii to get a fresh start with her boys. Her ex-boyfriend is in custody. He’s accused of strangling Mason days before her disappearance. In court previously, the judge and prosecution called him a suspect in her disappearance.
Family members said there is a service in Seattle for Mason on Monday.
Her sister said Mason’s boys are with her as she continues to fighting for their custody. She said the support of the community has made the process move in the right direction.
