Police Execute Multiple Search Warrants Across Merrimac, Massachusetts

Authorities in Merrimac, Massachusetts, executed multiple search warrants across town on Wednesday.

There were a couple of properties that were searched by state and local police, including the residence at 70 Hadley Road.

Merrimac Police Chief Eric Shear said there is no threat to public safety, and that the investigation concerns various non-violent criminal allegations, but did not elaborate further.

The execution of those warrants started Wednesday morning and lasted into the evening.

It's unclear if police activity will resume Thursday or if any arrests have been made.
