A Merrimack College student is with family and recovering in the hospital after falling out of a window Saturday evening.
The fall was originally reported by The Eagle-Tribune.
The student was reportedly conscious and alert after falling out of the window on the third floor of the Monican Centre in North Andover, Massachusetts.
According to the college, the student was seriously injured from the fall and had to be medflighted.
College spokesman James Chiavelli said the student is aware of the incident and the helicopter landing.
The student was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment. The student's name and age have not been released.
It is unclear how the student fell from the window.

"Merrimack College is proud of this community’s response, and for everyone’s prayers and good wishes," Merrimack College President Christopher Hopey said in a statement. "We are especially grateful to Merrimack College police and other first responders."
The college says students who feel the need to talk should reach out to their Resident Assistant or Resident Director.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
