Meth Lab Found; Maine Couple Arrested for 2nd Time in Less Than 8 Months

A Maine couple has been arrested on methamphetamine charges for the second time in less than eight months.

MDEA agents on Tuesday found the makings of a meth lab inside a remote cabin in Ludlow while conducting a bail check as a result of last year's charges.

The response team remains at the Townline Rd. cabin on Wednesday, gathering evidence and disposing of dangerous and explosive chemicals.

Thirty-one-year-old James Anthony, 26-year-old Kayla Nason, and Nason's 48-year-old mother Tara Walton are charged with trafficking in meth.

Last June, Anthony and Nason were arrested after deputies found the two cooking meth inside their car on Ludlow Rd. Nason at the time was treated and released for chemical burns.

This marks the 12th meth-related incident in Maine this year.
