Mild Air Before Increased Humidity, Showers Return to New England

What to Know

  • TODAY: Mild air, low humidity.
  • TOMORROW: Showers across western New England, coastal communities will stay dry.
  • LOOKING AHEAD: Tropical-like weather.

Another beautiful day to start off the week. We will get one more day of low humidity, mild air and sunshine before we return to Florida-like weather. Temperatures Monday will climb into the mid-80s for most. Clouds may filter out the sun late in the day.

Tuesday, all bets are off for an entirely dry day. We’re expecting the humidity to increase once again. Downpours are likely across western New England. The one place that has the greatest chance of staying mainly dry will be our coastal communities.

Wednesday through Friday look very tropical. With a warm front lifting north on Wednesday, it’s possible that we could see another round of severe weather. Temperatures will climb into the mid and high 80s with heat indices in the low to mid-90s.

We’re hoping that most of next weekend will be dry. As of right now, the rain and downpours should be isolated. It’s too early to tell who will stay dry and who could see a shower. After a brief break, the heat, humidity and downpours may return the following week. Stay tuned!
