No one was hurt but 14 people, including 10 children, now have to find someplace else to stay

More than a dozen people are homeless after a house fire in Springfield, Massachusetts.

According to Springfield Fire spokesperson Denis Leger, the fire at 605 Plainfield Street started just before 5 p.m. Sunday.

No one was hurt but 14 people, including 10 children, now have to find someplace else to stay.

The Red Cross is helping the victims.

The Arson and Bomb Squad has determined that improper disposal of smoking materials caused the fire.
