Our April weather pattern continues into the first few days of May with waves of rain, clouds and cooler than normal temperatures.

Precipitation varies across New England tonight, with wet snowfall across northern New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine and about a coating to 2 inches of accumulation through Thursday morning.

Scattered rain and sprinkles will move through southern New England tonight through Thursday morning, tapering off to drizzle and fog followed by clouds in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 50s, 40s on the coast with an onshore wind, but across Connecticut highs will soar into the low 60s with a glimpse of sun.

Friday will not be a washout, but another wave of rain moves in Friday evening through Saturday morning. We stay in between the waves of rain through the weekend.

Dry periods versus showers will continue to be the theme. The system Saturday morning should clear out quickly with some sunshine in the afternoon, highs in the mid 60s.

Sunday morning we are tracking another low pressure system. This one may make the day soggy as it arrives late morning, departing in the evening.

Stay tuned on the updated timing for the weekend! Highs on Sunday will be in the 60s even with the rain.

Next week we may get longer dry periods between the rain waves. High temperatures seem to be increasing next week, staying consistently in the upper 50s north, and in the low 60s south.
