Multiple Rescues in Northern White Mountains

Immediately following one rescue, the Fish and Game Department received another call

The Fish and Game Department conducted multiple rescues in the White Mountains of New Hampshire Friday.

Father and son, Ronald Proulx, 52, and Corey Proulx, 25, became disoriented and lost after a storm moved in late Friday.

At 10a.m. the next morning Corey Proulx summitted the mountain and requested help from Mt. Washington State Park staff.

Ronald Proulx stayed behind in the tent, suffering from mild hypothermia.

The Fish and Game department assisted Ronald in the hike back to awaiting vehicles.

Immediately following this rescue, the Fish and Game Department received another call regarding an injured hiker near the summit of Mount Jackson in Bean's Grant.

Keith Chapman, 45, of Mansfield Center, Connecticut, had injured his leg while descending the mountain.

Rescuers made contact with the patient at approximately 7:30 Saturday evening, and carried him down to the awaiting ambulance.

He was transported to Littleton Regional Hospital at 11:30 Saturday night.
