NAACP Branch Calls for Boston Latin School Headmaster to Step Down

School officials have been criticized for the way they responded to a racially charged incident in November 2014

Boston's NAACP is calling for the headmaster of Boston Latin School to step down.

NAACP Branch President Michael Curry tells the Boston Globe Headmaster Lynne Mooney failed students.

School officials have been criticized for the way they responded to a racially charged incident in November 2014.

At the time, a student used a racial slur against a black student and allegedly threatened her with a reference to lynching.

The same report found the school did respond appropriately to several other racially charged incidents.
