Former Mass. Police Chief Killed in Vt. Crash

Retired Kingston Police Chief Joseph Rebello was on motorcycle when crash took place in Woodbury

The former police chief of Kingston, Massachusetts was killed in a crash in Vermont Sunday.

Joseph Rebello, 55, was riding a motorcycle in Woodbury around 9:15 a.m. A Subaru Legacy driven by 57-year-old Frank Sargent crossed over the center line and collided with Rebello and another motorcycle driven by Richard Braga.

Rebello was pronounced dead at the scene.

The retired chief and Braga were riding with two other motorcycles, both of which avoided being hit.

Vermont State Police are investigating the crash.
