NH Fire Marshal Investigates Fiery Crash That Killed 2 in Kingston

Officials said the victims have yet to be positively identified

Authorities in New Hampshire are investigating after two people were killed in a fiery car crash on Monday night.

The single-vehicle crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. in Kingston, according to the New Hampshire Department of Public Safety. Witnesses called authorities to report that a car hit a tree and then became fully engulfed in flames near 75 New Boston Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw the flames were spreading to the detached garage of a home nearby. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, but were unable to reach the vehicle’s two occupants.

Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The state’s Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the deadly crash, along with local police and fire departments. An autopsy will be performed by the state medical examiner on Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said the victims have yet to be positively identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
